SHOALS NORTH ALABAMA AUTO AUCTION ARBITRATION POLICY

  • Arbitration period for in lane purchases ends one hour after the purchase of the vehicle on day of sale.   Drive your eligible purchase and ifs within this period.  Arbitration for simulcast purchases ends at 2PM the day after the sale. ALL ARBITRATIONS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO BRANDON SCHULTZ OR BARRY BERRYMAN.  NO EXECPTIONS!

  • To be eligible for arbitration, vehicle must have ONE defect in engine cooling system or internal parts of motor, transmission, transfer case or excessive rear end noise that will require $600.00 or more to repair.

  • Any vehicle sold for $3000.00 or less, vehicles in excess of 20 years old and vehicle with over 200,000 miles are sold AS-IS.

  • No arbitration on defects that are inherent to the model.

  • Frame damage, (including structural corrosion), previous frame damage, any salvage history, odometer discrepancy, flood, previous Canadian or government use must be announced by the seller. (7-day Arbitration Period on these items).

  • Odometer exemption will follow the U.S. Department of Transportation’s policy on odometer disclosures effective January 1, 2021.

  • All diesels and EV’s are AS-IS unless the seller gives a “Seller Guarantee”.  If   a “Seller Guarantee” is given the arbitration is between the buyer and seller. SNAAA must be notified of mutual agreement.  Seller will not be paid until buyer and seller agreement is reached.

  • All vehicles sold off the block are sold AS-IS. Seller has 30 days to produce title unless otherwise announced.  Two (2) business days’ notice of intent to return for no title must be given.  Vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was sold and with no more than 200 additional miles on the odometer.
